We Fit your schedule

When you volunteer at the village, we will work with your schedule. Not available during the day; not a problem. Want to volunteer on weekends; we can find a place for you. You can volunteer as much or as little as you want. We are glad to have you involved in the villages.

We Fit your Skills

Volunteer for the villages and use your skills to support your neighbors. Wonder what skills you have to support a village? We will help you find a fit. We have enough volunteer opportunities that you can find a place where you can comfortably contribute. All ages are welcome to volunteer.

We Fit your Interests

You will see when you apply to volunteer that there is a menu of volunteer opportunities. You can volunteer for as many or as few services as you would like. You can also change your preferences.

Office Help
Perimeter North Villages needs volunteers to take members to medical appointments and grocery shopping. Members are expected to be able to get in and out of a car with only moderate assistance. Most trips will be inside the villages’ area of Dunwoody, Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Doraville, and Brookhaven. If you want to be a volunteer driver, there is an additional form to verify your driving record and your insurance.
"Volunteering with PNV has been truly a pleasure beyond merely helping people with simple, yet important tasks. In fact, the true reward is getting to know those you are able to help. You realize that they too have so much to offer! Sign me up for more!"  PNV Volunteer

The Village needs volunteers to do a phone check on members either weekly or daily. We also need someone to visit shut in members or take a walk with a member. Volunteers can provide light household help such as running errands, taking out the trash, or providing moderate pet care such as dog walking. Volunteers can also provide non-complex computer assistance.
Volunteers would be asked to do minor home maintenance such as changing light bulbs, testing smoke detectors, sweeping walks or patios, raking leaves, or plant maintenance. Volunteers are not expected to do heavy house cleaning or any service which requires a license, such as plumbing and wiring. We will have vendors do that kind of work. However, if you do have a license and would like to volunteer the Village would be glad to have you.
Like to plan events or to lead field trips? The Village needs volunteers to plan, coordinate, and manage events. Events can be simple, such a card party or elaborate such as a Valentine’s Day celebration. You could help start and manage a book club. You could also find people to give presentations or classes for the Village members. We also need volunteers to assist at events.

Volunteers can help in the office by calling members and volunteers with reminders, responding to service requests, and following up after vendor services have been provided.
